Battery energy storage and inverter products can involve high electrical currents, stored energy, heavy equipment and fire or shock hazards. Safety requirements must be followed.
1. Professional Installation Required
Products identified as requiring professional installation must be installed, commissioned, maintained and repaired only by suitably qualified and competent persons authorised under applicable local law.
Do-it-yourself installation is not permitted for products requiring professional installation.
Attempting to install, commission or modify Products requiring professional installation may affect warranty coverage and may create safety, regulatory and insurance issues.
2. Before Purchase
The Customer and installer should confirm:
- Product and system compatibility;
- electrical supply and phase requirements;
- location, ventilation, clearances and environmental limits;
- structural and mounting suitability;
- grid, utility, landlord, planning, building-control and insurance requirements;
- backup-power requirements, where relevant;
- applicable manufacturer instructions;
- network operator or utility requirements (where applicable); and
- compatibility of existing equipment, including firmware versions.
Product Guidance and Decision Support Tools do not replace a site assessment or professional electrical design.
3. Delivery and Storage
Upon delivery, the Customer should inspect the Products for any visible transport damage before installation.
Where installation is delayed after delivery, Products should be stored:
- securely;
- in accordance with the manufacturer's storage requirements;
- protected from moisture, impact and unauthorised access; and
- within any specified environmental conditions.
Products should not be installed where they have been visibly damaged during transport or stored outside the manufacturer's recommended conditions until appropriate advice has been obtained.
Once risk has passed in accordance with the Terms & Conditions, the Customer is responsible for the safe storage and protection of the Products.
4. Installation and Commissioning
The installer is responsible for:
- confirming that the installed Products are compatible with the existing installation at the time of commissioning;

Do not bypass protective devices, open enclosures, alter firmware, modify equipment or attempt repairs unless authorised and qualified.
The Customer should:
- retain commissioning records;
- retain warranty documentation;
- retain serial numbers;
- retain proof of purchase.
Retaining these records will help DC2AC and the manufacturer assess any future Warranty claim more efficiently.

- keep people away;
- do not touch or open the equipment;
- follow the emergency procedure supplied by the manufacturer or installer;
- only isolate the system where it is safe to do so and where the person doing so is suitably qualified or otherwise authorised; and
