Product Guidance & Decision Support
Effective date: 22 July 2026
1. Our Approach
DC2AC believes that choosing an energy storage solution should not require customers to become technical experts.
Our role is to simplify complexity by providing carefully curated Products together with practical Product Guidance and Decision Support Tools that help Customers make informed purchasing decisions.
Our recommendations are intended to reduce unnecessary complexity while balancing functionality, practicality, availability and value.
2. What is Product Guidance?
Product Guidance includes information provided by DC2AC to assist Customers in evaluating Products available through DC2AC.
This may include:
- Battery Finder recommendations;
- Product comparisons;
- compatibility guidance;
- indicative system recommendations;
- educational material;
- technical information;
- quotations; and
- future digital Decision Support Tools made available by DC2AC.
3. Scope of Product Guidance
Product Guidance evaluates Products and services available through DC2AC at the time the guidance is provided.
It is not intended to be an independent comparison of every Product or supplier available in the market.
Where more than one Product may be technically suitable, DC2AC may recommend Products that, in its assessment, provide an appropriate balance of:
- performance;
- reliability;
- practicality;
- availability;
- compatibility; and
- value.
4. Information Provided by Customers
The quality of Product Guidance depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information provided.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that information supplied to DC2AC is accurate, complete and current.
This includes, where applicable:
- property details;
- electrical supply;
- existing equipment;
- intended usage;
- future expansion plans;
- installation requirements; and
- any other information relevant to Product selection.
Where inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information is provided, Product Guidance may no longer be appropriate.
5. Understanding the Recommendations
Product Guidance and Decision Support Tools:
- assist purchasing decisions;
- simplify technical comparisons;
- are not engineering or electrical designs;
- do not replace a professional site assessment;
- do not replace the judgement of a suitably qualified installer;
- do not guarantee regulatory approval;
- do not guarantee compatibility where site conditions differ from the information provided;
- do not guarantee savings, financial returns or payback periods; and
- may change as Products, pricing, tariffs, regulations or customer circumstances change.
The final purchasing decision remains with the Customer.
6. Professional Verification
Before installation, the appointed installer remains responsible for confirming that the selected Products are suitable for the actual installation site.
Where site conditions differ materially from the information originally provided, Product Guidance or Decision Support outputs may no longer be applicable
7. Continuous Improvement
DC2AC continually reviews its Product Portfolio and Decision Support Tools.
Recommendations may change over time as:
- Products evolve;
- firmware changes;
- new technologies become available;
- customer feedback is received;
- regulations change; or
- better solutions become available.
A previous recommendation does not necessarily remain the preferred recommendation in the future.
8. Need Assistance?
Where a Customer is uncertain about:
- Product Guidance;
- Decision Support Tool outputs;
- Product compatibility; or
- Product selection,
they should contact DC2AC before placing an Order.
